  39. When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
  40. Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”
  41. Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.
  42. Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.
  43. And the people began to beg Jesus to leave their region.
  44. But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”

  50. But many people saw them leaving and recognized them. They ran together on foot from all the towns and arrived before them.

  56. The people were utterly astonished and said, “He has done all things well! He makes even the deaf hear and the mute speak!”
  57. His disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could anyone find enough bread to feed all these people?”
  58. And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then He took the seven loaves, gave thanks and broke them, and gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And they distributed them to the crowd.
  59. The people ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
  60. When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.

  82. When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened,

  84. Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.

  90. Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.
  91. When Jesus had concluded His discourse in the hearing of the people, He went to Capernaum.
  92. A sense of awe swept over all of them, and they glorified God. “A great prophet has appeared among us!” they said. “God has visited His people!”
  93. At that very hour Jesus healed many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and He gave sight to many who were blind.
  94. All the people who heard this, even the tax collectors, acknowledged God’s justice. For they had received the baptism of John.
  95. While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, He told them this parable:
  96. So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
  97. Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back.
  98. “Who touched Me?” Jesus asked. But they all denied it. “Master,” said Peter, “the people are crowding and pressing against You.”
  99. Then the woman, seeing that she could not escape notice, came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been healed.
  100. So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.
