  1. So Moses did as the LORD had commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

  21. So he shall make atonement for the Most Holy Place because of the impurities and rebellious acts of the Israelites in regard to all their sins. He is to do the same for the Tent of Meeting which abides among them in the midst of their impurities.
  22. Even the land has become defiled, so I am punishing it for its sin, and the land will vomit out its inhabitants.
  23. So if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it spewed out the nations before you.
  24. You must keep My charge not to practice any of the abominable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.”
  25. You must not swear falsely by My name and so profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
  26. You must not harbor hatred against your brother in your heart. Directly rebuke your neighbor, so that you will not incur guilt on account of him.

  46. So whatever belongs to the Levites may be redeemed—a house sold in a city they possess—and must be released in the Jubilee, because the houses in the cities of the Levites are their possession among the Israelites.
  47. Now if your countryman becomes destitute and cannot support himself among you, then you are to help him as you would a foreigner or stranger, so that he can continue to live among you.
  48. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians. I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk in uprightness.

  50. And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one pursues you.

  54. They will stumble over one another as before the sword, though no one is behind them. So you will not be able to stand against your enemies.
  55. Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject or despise them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.
  56. But if he consecrates his field after the Jubilee, the priest is to calculate the price in proportion to the years left until the next Year of Jubilee, so that your valuation will be reduced.
  57. Nothing that a man sets apart to the LORD from all he owns—whether a man, an animal, or his inherited land—can be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.
  58. So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,
  59. …just as the LORD had commanded Moses. So Moses numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai:
  60. So all the Israelites twenty years of age or older who could serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.

  76. This is what you must do to cleanse them: Sprinkle them with the water of purification. Have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes, and so purify themselves.
  77. Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the sons of Israel, so that they may perform the service of the LORD.
  78. And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the Israelites, to perform the service for the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting and to make atonement on their behalf, so that no plague will come against the Israelites when they approach the sanctuary.”
  79. So Moses, Aaron, and the whole congregation of Israel did with the Levites everything that the LORD had commanded Moses they should do.
  80. So Moses told the Israelites to observe the Passover,
  81. …and they did so in the Wilderness of Sinai, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  82. But there were some men who were unclean due to a dead body, so they could not observe the Passover on that day. And they came before Moses and Aaron that same day
  83. If a foreigner dwelling among you wants to observe the Passover to the LORD, he is to do so according to the Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the foreigner and the native of the land.’”
  84. So they set out on a three-day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them.
  85. So that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD had burned among them.
  86. So Moses asked the LORD, “Why have You brought this trouble on Your servant? Why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid upon me the burden of all these people?
  87. Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth, so that You should tell me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries an infant,’ to the land that You swore to give their fathers?
  88. And I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put that Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.
  89. So Moses went out and relayed to the people the words of the LORD, and he gathered seventy of the elders of the people and had them stand around the tent.
  90. Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and He took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and placed that Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied—but they never did so again.
  91. So they called that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food.
  92. Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.
  93. And suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three went out,
  94. But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house.
  95. So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.
  96. …and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.
  97. So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!”
  98. So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.
  99. So at the command of the LORD, Moses sent them out from the Wilderness of Paran. All the men were leaders of the Israelites,
  100. So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of Zin as far as Rehob, toward Lebo-hamath.
