  1. When Peter had gone out to the gateway, another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

  27. And on returning from the market, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions for them to observe, including the washing of cups, pitchers, kettles, and couches for dining.
  28. Jesus left that place and went to the region of Tyre. Not wanting anyone to know He was there, He entered a house, but was unable to escape their notice.
  29. Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God arrive with power.”
  30. After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them.
  31. Going on from there, they passed through Galilee. But Jesus did not want anyone to know,
  32. Jesus looked at him, loved him, and said to him, “There is one thing you lack: Go, sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

  39. “Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
  40. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, as well as famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
  41. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.
  42. “But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
  43. And he will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.”
  44. …and saw him warming himself there. She looked at Peter and said, “You also were with Jesus the Nazarene.”

  60. But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.
  61. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”
  62. In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,
  63. One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
  64. Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
  65. On another Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.
  66. But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and stand among us.” So he got up and stood there.
  67. Then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon.
  68. There a highly valued servant of a centurion was sick and about to die.
  69. I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John, yet even the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
  70. When a sinful woman from that town learned that Jesus was dining there, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume.
  71. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.
  72. There on the hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding. So the demons begged Jesus to let them enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.
  73. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that area.

  76. If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.

  78. Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first.”

  80. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
  81. Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and will build bigger ones, and there I will store up all my grain and my goods.
  82. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
  83. …and a woman there had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was hunched over and could not stand up straight.
  84. But the synagogue leader was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. “There are six days for work,” he told the crowd. “So come and be healed on those days and not on the Sabbath.”
  85. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves are thrown out.
  86. Right there before Him was a man with dropsy.
  87. ‘Sir,’ the servant replied, ‘what you ordered has been done, and there is still room.’
  88. I tell you that in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.
  89. In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
  90. Then Jesus said, “There was a man who had two sons.
  91. Jesus also said to His disciples, “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.
  92. Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, who lived each day in joyous splendor.
  93. And besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that even those who wish cannot cross from here to you, nor can anyone cross from there to us.’
  94. Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
  95. People will tell you, ‘Look, there He is!’ or ‘Look, here He is!’ Do not go out or chase after them.
