- So they went throughout Judah and gathered the Levites from all the cities of Judah and the heads of the families of Israel. And when they came to Jerusalem,

- But Ishmael son of Nethaniah and eight of his men escaped from Johanan and went to the Ammonites.
- And they went and stayed in Geruth Chimham, near Bethlehem, in order to proceed into Egypt
- So they entered the land of Egypt because they did not obey the voice of the LORD, and they went as far as Tahpanhes.
- Those who escape the sword will return from Egypt to Judah, few in number, and the whole remnant of Judah who went to dwell in the land of Egypt will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs!
- This is the message that Jeremiah the prophet gave to the quartermaster Seraiah son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon with King Zedekiah of Judah in the fourth year of Zedekiah’s reign.
