Sapphire

Modern sapphire is a hard precious stone that is usually deep blue.

In the Bible, the word translated as “sapphire” may sometimes refer to lapis lazuli rather than modern sapphire (Exodus 24:10; 28:18; 39:11; Job 28:6, 16; Song of Solomon 5:14; Isaiah 54:11; Lamentations 4:7; Ezekiel 1:26; 10:1; 28:13).
