Ships and Shipping
Ships are large boats that carry people or goods across water. People used them for fishing, trade, travel, and war. Most ships moved by sails, oars, or both. Sea travel could be dangerous because of storms, strong winds, and hidden rocks.
Shipping is the work of carrying people or goods by ship.
