Spirit
Spirit is a description of that characteristic of existence that is without a body and without matter.
The Hebrew (ruach), Greek (pneuma), and Latin (spiritus) words in the Bible denote blowing or breathing (Job 41:16; Isaiah 25:4). So the noun indicates breath and life. God, the source of all life, is Spirit (John 4:24). God put a spirit within all human beings so that they could become united with him in his kingdom and in his nature.
A Christian experiences Jesus Christ in a real way when that person experiences the Spirit of Jesus Christ in his or her spirit.
