White
In the Bible, “white” translates several Hebrew and Greek words. It often describes the natural color of people, animals, or objects.
The word describes:
goats (Genesis 30:35),
hair (Leviticus 13:10; Matthew 5:36; Revelation 1:14),
diseased skin (Exodus 4:6; Leviticus 13:4, 17),
manna (Exodus 16:31),
snow (2 Kings 5:27),
milk and teeth (Genesis 49:12),
horses (Zechariah 1:8; 6:3; Revelation 6:2; 19:11),
a donkey (Judges 5:10),
wool (Ezekiel 27:18),
a special stone (Revelation 2:17),
light (Matthew 17:2),
clouds (Revelation 14:14),
fields ready for harvest (John 4:35),
curtains (Esther 1:6),
clothing (Esther 8:15; Ecclesiastes 9:8; Daniel 7:9; Mark 16:5; Revelation 3:5, 18; 4:4),
the clothing of angels (John 20:12; Acts 1:10), and
a throne (Revelation 20:11).
The Bible also uses “white” figuratively to describe cleansing from sin (Psalm 51:7; Isaiah 1:18; Daniel 12:10). In Lamentations 4:7, it describes the healthy appearance of princes.
