Zither
A zither is a musical instrument with many strings stretched across a flat wooden body. A person plays it by plucking or striking the strings. Some Bible translations use “zither” in Daniel 3:5, 7, and 15 for a stringed instrument played at the Babylonian king's command. The exact form of this ancient instrument is not certain. It may have been more like a lyre.
