1. a way, path, road: Matthew 2:12, Mark 10:46, Luke 3:5 al.; κατὰ τὴν ὁ., Luke 10:4, al.; παρὰ τὴν ὁ., Matthew 13:4, al.; with genitive of person(s), (subj.), τὴν ὁ. ἑτοιμάζειν (fig.), Matthew 3:3, Mark 1:3, al.; with genitive term. (obj.), ἐθνῶν, Matthew 10:5; τ. ἁγίων (figuratively), Hebrews 9:8; accusative, ὁδόν, with force of prep. (like Heb. דֶּרֶךְ; Bl., §34, 8; 35, 5), ὁ. θαλάσσης, Matthew 4:15 (LXX).
