ὅπως

I. Relat. adv. of manner, as, how: with indic., Luke 24:20.

II. Conj., with subjc. (in cl. also with opt., indic.: so in Matthew 26:59, LT, Tr.), in order that, to the end that, that;

1. final, denoting purpose or design (in which the original idea of modality has been merged): after pres., Matthew 6:2, al.; pf., Acts 9:17, al.; impf., Acts 9:24; aor., Acts 9:2, al.; plpf., John 11:57; fut., Matthew 23:35; imperat., Matthew 2:8, al.; ὅ. μή (M, Pr., 185), Matthew 6:18, Luke 16:26, Acts 20:16, 1 Corinthians 1:29; ὅ. πληρωθῇ, Matthew 2:23; 8:17; 13:35; ὅ. ἄν (B1., § 65, 2; WM, § 42, 5), Luke 2:35, Acts 3:19; 15:17, Romans 3:4 (cf.
