a father;

1. prop.,

(a) of the male parent: Matthew 2:22, Luke 1:17, John 4:53; anarth., Hebrews 12:7 (M, Pr., 82 f.); pl., of both parents (cl.), Hebrews 11:23; οἱ π. τ. σαρκός, Hebrews 12:9;
