with radical sense round about (as distinct from ἀμφί, on both sides).
I. C. genitive,

Causal, about, on account of, concerning, in reference to: Matthew 2:8, Mark 1:44, Luke 4:38, John 16:26, Acts 28:21, al. mult.; τὰ περί, with genitive, the things concerning one, one's state or case: Mark 5:27, Acts 1:3; 28:15, Ephesians 6:22, al.; at the beginning of a sentence, περί, regarding, as to, 1 Corinthians 7:1, al.; in the sense on account of (Matthew 26:28, 1 Corinthians 1:13, al.), often with ὑπέρ as variant (cf.
