Antiochus III expanded his territory to include the coastlands of Anatolia, Macedonia, and Greece. However, the Romans defeated him in 191 and 190 BC. The prince was the well-known Roman general Scipio. He stopped the expansion of Antiochus III and forced him to give up the lands he had taken in the west and return in shame.
