There was no group, not even their own families, to whom persecuted Christians could always go for help (see Matthew 10:35–36; Luke 12:53). All people would hate them because they were loyal to Jesus (because of My name). Those who remain faithful to Jesus until death (to the end) will be saved to eternal life (see also Mark 8:35; Revelation 2:7, 10, 17, 26–28; 3:5, 12, 21).
