The ordination offering was a type of peace offering (Exodus 29:28). It was a meal shared between God and the priests (Leviticus 7:11–18, 28–34). The parts of the offering burned on the altar belonged to God. The command to boil and eat the ordination offerings first appears in Exodus 29:32.
