Jesus himself did not baptize anyone with water. He allowed his disciples to perform water baptism.
Later, after he was lifted up on the cross and then raised from the dead, Jesus returned to the Father. This suffering, death, resurrection, and return to the Father is called his glorification (7:37–39). After this, Jesus baptized people in the Holy Spirit (1:33; Acts 2:4).
