The woman was not fully certain about who Jesus was (4:29). She asked the people of her village, “Could this be the Christ?” Her words show that she was still thinking and learning.
Even so, she ran back to the village and told others about him. She invited them to come and see for themselves.
Telling others about Jesus is a sign of discipleship. Earlier in this Gospel, others also invited people to “come and see”(see 1:39, 46).
