Is that why all of you have conspired against me? Not one of you told me that my own son had made a covenant with the son of Jesse. Not one of you has shown concern for me or revealed to me that my son has stirred up my own servant to lie in wait against me, as is the case today.”
Traditional
That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Literal
For you have all conspired against me, and there is no one uncovering my ear that my son has cut in with the son of Jesse. And none of you has shown concern for me or uncovered to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait as this day.”

Notes
men of Benjamin: Saul was suspicious of his own tribesmen. He believed David had paid them to be loyal to him. Worse, Saul did not even trust his own son. He believed his son was part of the supposed conspiracy.
Saul’s character is clear here. He could not take revenge on David himself. Instead, Saul killed those he believed had helped David.
