Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Notes

The milk and honey in Canaan represented agriculture and grazing land. Compared to the desert food, Canaan's food was truly luxurious (see Exodus 3:8, 17).

Moses here explains how the stipulations in the following sections should be applied and handed on to future generations.
