Notes

By not seeking the Lord, Israel’s ancestors showed they had lost interest in their history. To them, the God of Israel was an illusion. They only cared about immediate pleasures.

Jeremiah used marriage, infidelity, and divorce as images to show Judah's spiritual betrayal.
