Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the Lord.

Because that they did not listen to My words, a declaration of YHWH, Which I sent to them by My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending, and you would not listen! A declaration of YHWH.”

Notes

Jeremiah sent a letter to the Hebrew exiles in Babylon. People read his letter many times in different settlements to reach all the scattered Israelites.
