Psalm 82
God Presides in the Divine Assembly
1A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in the congregation of the divine; among the gods he renders judgment:
2“Until when will you judge unjustly, and lift up the faces of the wicked? Selah
3Judge for the weak and the fatherless; for the oppressed and needy bring justice.
4Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
5They do not know, ad they do not understand; in the darkness they walk about; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6I said, ‘You are gods, and all of you sons of the Most High.’
7Surely like a man you will die, and like one of the princes you will fall.”
8Rise up, O God, and judge the earth! For You have an inheritance among all the nations.
