Psalm 95

Do Not Harden Your Hearts

1Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;

let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!

1O come, let us sing out to YHWH; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!

2Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.

2Let us come before His face with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully with psalms to Him!

3For the LORD is a great God,

a great King above all gods.

3For a great God is YHWH, and the great King above all gods—

4In His hand are the depths of the earth,

and the mountain peaks belong to Him.

4in whose hand are the depths of the earth, and the peaks of the mountains are unto Him,

5The sea is His, for He made it,

and His hands formed the dry land.

5and to whom is the sea, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.

6O come, let us worship and bow down;

let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.

6O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the face of YHWH our Maker!

7For He is our God,

and we are the people of His pasture,

the sheep under His care.

Today, if you hear His voice,

7For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you hear His voice:

8do not harden your hearts

as you did at Meribah,

in the day at Massah in the wilderness,

8You shall not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day at Massah in the wilderness,

9where your fathers tested and tried Me,

though they had seen My work.

9when your fathers tested Me—they tried Me, even though they had seen My work.

10For forty years I was angry with that generation,

and I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray,

and they have not known My ways.”

10Forty years I was repulsed by that generation, and I said, “They are a people going astray in heart, and they have not known My ways.”

11So I swore on oath in My anger,

“They shall never enter My rest.”

11So I swore in My anger, “They shall not come into My rest!”
