Psalm 108

Israel’s Kingdom Blessing

1A song. A Psalm of David.

My heart is steadfast, O God;

I will sing and make music with all my being.

1A Song. A Psalm of David. My heart being firm, O God, I will sing and make music, even with my glory!

2Awake, O harp and lyre!

I will awaken the dawn.

2Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn!

3I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations;

I will sing Your praises among the peoples.

3I will praise You among the peoples, O YHWH, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.

4For Your loving devotion extends beyond the heavens,

and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

4For great over the heavens is Your loving devotion, and up to the clouds is Your faithfulness.

5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;

may Your glory cover all the earth.

5Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and over all the earth Your glory!

6Respond and save us with Your right hand,

that Your beloved may be delivered.

6That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and answer me!

7God has spoken from His sanctuary:

“I will triumph!

I will parcel out Shechem

and apportion the Valley of Succoth.

7God has spoken from His holy place: “I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Succoth.

8Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine;

Ephraim is My helmet, Judah is My scepter.

8Unto Me is Gilead, unto Me is Manasseh; and Ephraim is the strength of My head, Judah is My scepter.

9Moab is My washbasin;

upon Edom I toss My sandal;

over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

9Moab is the basin of My washing; upon Edom I will cast My sandal; over Philistia I will shout in triumph.”

10Who will bring me to the fortified city?

Who will lead me to Edom?

10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?

11Have You not rejected us, O God?

Will You no longer march out, O God, with our armies?

11Have You not, O God, cast us off? And will You no longer go forth, O God, with our armies?

12Give us aid against the enemy,

for the help of man is worthless.

12May You give to us help from adversity, and the salvation of man is emptiness.

13With God we will perform with valor,

and He will trample our enemies.

13With God we will act in strength, and He will trample our adversaries.
