³Restore us, O God,

and cause Your face to shine upon us,

that we may be saved.

³O God, restore us, and cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

⁴O LORD God of Hosts,

how long will Your anger smolder

against the prayers of Your people?

⁴O YHWH, God of Hosts, until when will You smolder at the prayer of Your people?

⁵You fed them with the bread of tears

and made them drink the full measure of their tears.

⁵You have fed them the bread of tears, and caused them to drink with tears a third part.

⁶You make us contend with our neighbors;

our enemies mock us.

⁶You have made us a strife to our neighbors, and our enemies mock at it.

⁷Restore us, O God of Hosts,

and cause Your face to shine upon us,

that we may be saved.

⁷O God of Hosts, restore us, and cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

¹⁴Return, O God of Hosts, we pray!

Look down from heaven and see!

Attend to this vine—

¹⁴O God of Hosts, return, we pray! Look down from the heavens and see, and attend to this vine,

¹⁵the root Your right hand has planted,

the son You have raised up for Yourself.

¹⁵and the root that Your right hand has planted, and the son You have made strong for Yourself,

¹⁶Your vine has been cut down and burned;

they perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.

¹⁶having been burned in the fire, having been cut down. May they perish at the rebuke of Your face!

¹⁷Let Your hand be upon the man at Your right hand,

on the son of man You have raised up for Yourself.

¹⁷Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man You made strong for Yourself.

¹⁸Then we will not turn away from You;

revive us, and we will call on Your name.

¹⁸Then we will not turn back from You; revive us, and we will call on Your name.

¹⁹Restore us, O LORD God of Hosts;

cause Your face to shine upon us,

that we may be saved.

¹⁹O YHWH, God of Hosts, restore us! Cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!
